It’s here at last! Eyes Like Those (the first book in the Seven Shores Series) is available everywhere books are sold. I hope everyone enjoys this little beach read and will have as much fun with this new group of friends as I’ve had. In celebration of today, I’m off to drink copious amounts of pecan coffee (because = FALL), and dance around the kitchen island, festive style.
Please let me know your thoughts about the book, either via the website contact form, my email (melissabrayden@gmail.com), or post a review for the world to see! Reviews go a long way to educating readers and helping them find the right book for them in a sea of options. As always, you guys are the best!
Stay tuned for Hearts Like Hers (Book 2) in February, Sparks Like Ours (Book 3) in June, Love Like This (Book Four) in October.
I just finished Eyes Like Those and I must say I enjoyed this book.I loved the fact that Izabel felt like she was just an ordinary girl. I also loved that Taylor was the ridiculed high school student. While both characters have their own inner demons these characters were easier to relate to because let’s face it not all of us can be a beautiful size 2 individual. I look forward to the rest of the series. Who am I kidding, I’ll read anything you write.
Amy,
Holding you to it! I’m excited for the books to come, and can say that I just signed a contract for a standalone to be released after Seven Shores concludes that already has ideas percolating in my head. Thank you for your kind words! – M.
I am obsessed with your work. I just bought the book yesterday and I am sitting in the office right now wishing I was home already to continue. Last night I slept so late I even thank the heavens that my girlfriend live in another city or she wouldn’t have gotten the attention she deserve last night. Your work transport me and make me want more in my relationship. Let me not go yada yada here. I am still to read the rest of the book. until then… I will hold myself and enjoy the ride.
Okay I promised to enjoy the ride. And I did. Refreshing!!! that all I can say. But I have a question for you: Why is it that from all your books I find a character that resemble me?
You don’t really have to answer that. I was just thinking out loud.
Nokxy,
It’s possible that I stalk you for character ideas in my downtime. 🙂 But seriously, I’m thrilled you enjoyed the book. More to come! -M.
I have been a big fan of yours and Waiting in the Wings tops my favorite books list. I also liked your light humorous style in Just Three words. Just now finished reading Eyes Like Those, started it yesterday but I could hardly keep it away and concentrate on any other tasks until I finished it. Fantastic book with a free flowing story. The details you manage to pour into the everyday life of the story always amaze me and I really love your books for that. Loved the simple but strong relationship between Isabel and Taylor. The neighborhood friends are a breezer to the plot. At one point of time I felt the story was going to repeat itself like Waiting in the Wings but the change in heart of the lead character Isabel brought it back on the track for me.
Waiting for another steamy story in the series. Is there a way I can enroll for the beta readers list?
Sia,
Thank you so much! I’m glad Isabel’s choice worked for you. It could have gone a lot of ways! You’re right. If I ever decide to use beta readers (I never have as of now), you’re on the list. -M.
Hey Melissa, eagerly waiting for the next in series. Please share something…
Can you tell us more about this? I’d care to find out
some additional information.
You are my favorite writer in this genre!!!! Every time you realease a new book it’s the best day ever for me!!! I just finished “eyes like those” and all I can say is WOW. This is up there with my top with the rest of your books!!! Thank you so much for writing words, and books that I can feel in my soul and relate to!! Please please please tell me who your thinking about for the lead in the new seven shores series book??? I love all the friends and can tell you left them all out of relationships strategically I’m sure!!! Gia? Ohhh no Hadley???? It has to be Hadley!!!
Kerry,
Kerry, thank you so much! You’re so kind and I’m thrilled to hear you’ve enjoyed the books. As for Seven Shores, there will be a total of four books. Next up is Autumn’s story (Hearts Like Hers) which is out in February. Following next will be Gia’s story (Sparks Like Ours) out in June. Lastly, will be Hadley’s story (Love Like This) out in October. Hope that helps! You’ll have to let me know which of the four is your favorite once they’re all out. Happy holidays! – M
Melissa,
Another 10 out of 10! I have now read all of your work in the span of 2 months, which is no small feat give the fact I am an attorney and have to steal time to read your work. I absolutely loved all of the characters, even Scruffy, and of course hated Aspen just as you would want me to. I am so sad I have to wait to read Autumn’s story but great things do come…
Your writing is a breath of fresh air in such hostile times. Thank you for my respite from reality and I cannot was for your next masterpiece. I must admit the Soho Loft series is still my favorite but being a California girl myself, I suspect I will have to at least share the pedestal with the Seven Shores work when all is said and done.
Thank you for my brief detour into sanity in these insane times. My wife thanks you for making me a happier person in the age of Trump as you take me away from the pain and make me smile again every time I read (or re-read) your work.
